Overview of Primary Responsibilities

The role involves providing patient care by employing the nursing process, which includes data collection and assessment. You will identify and prioritize patient needs, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and coordinate educational activities for patients while overseeing the care provided by the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
  • Analyze assessment data to formulate a comprehensive care plan, implement treatments, and assess their effectiveness.
  • Administer medications safely in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Act as the primary contact for coordinating patient care across various hospital departments.
  • Serve as a patient safety advocate by engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Integrate the professional practice model into all aspects of care delivery.

Certifications
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (required upon hire for specific locations; preferred at hire, mandatory before independent patient care at other locations).
  • A valid nursing license from the state of practice (required).
Educational Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (required) or
  • Diploma in Nursing (required).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
Compensation Range

Minimum: $34.33 | Maximum: $54.93
