Chronic Pain Anesthesiology Opportunity

Our organization is currently in search of a board-certified or board-eligible fellowship-trained interventional pain physician to become part of a well-established practice located at our state-of-the-art facility in Pittsburgh, PA. This position, affiliated with a prominent university, offers a unique chance to collaborate with fellow physicians, engage in inpatient services, and explore research interests.

The role entails a .6 clinical commitment for the fiscal year 2027. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes salary, performance incentives, comprehensive benefits, retirement plans, and malpractice coverage. Additionally, there are continuing medical education (CME) funds available amounting to $4,110 each fiscal year.

About Our Pain Medicine Division

The Pain Medicine Division is dedicated to a holistic approach encompassing research, clinical practice, and education aimed at assessing and treating a wide spectrum of pain, disability, and rehabilitation issues. Our interdisciplinary team comprises professionals from various specialties, including medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and psychology. This collaborative approach effectively addresses the intricate interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors involved in pain perception and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose pain disorders while developing suitable treatment strategies, including interventions and medical management.
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients and identify those suitable for multimodal treatment plans.
• Oversee advanced practice providers (APPs) and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and provide holiday coverage once a year.
• Conduct outpatient clinic sessions at the Falk Medical Building and perform inpatient rounds in Oakland.

Qualifications

• Current DEA registration.
• American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) certification in Pain Management.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
