Desired Qualifications:

• Current certification in Special Education (state-appropriate credentials)
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in a junior high or middle school setting
• Strong background or training as an ARD Facilitator, with in-depth knowledge of ARD processes and IEP development
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Compassion and dedication to fostering student growth and success

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a junior high caseload, providing direct specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
• Serve as the ARD Facilitator, preparing for, scheduling, and leading Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
• Develop and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitor progress, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to modify curriculum and adapt classroom strategies
• Advocate for students and communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with school and district expectations

This is a full-time contract opportunity, working 40 hours per week throughout the 26/27 academic year.
