Job Summary

A well-established engineering and design firm is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with 4-10 years of experience to join its Scottsdale, AZ office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a structural engineer who is passionate about engineering and looking to expand their experience by working on a diverse range of projects and building types.

The ideal candidate will have experience with structural analysis and design across multiple materials, including concrete, steel, wood, and masonry, and will be comfortable working collaboratively with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on structural engineering projects ranging from small assignments to large multidisciplinary projects.

  • Analyze and design structures using a variety of materials, including:

    • Concrete

    • Structural steel

    • Wood

    • Masonry

  • Work on projects across diverse market sectors and building types.

  • Manage projects from initial design through completion and construction.

  • Work directly with a Principal Engineer to oversee day-to-day project activities throughout the design and construction process.

  • Coordinate and oversee the work of other engineers and provide mentorship to less experienced team members.

  • Communicate directly with clients, city and public officials, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

  • Prioritize multiple assignments and ensure projects are completed successfully and on schedule.

  • Participate in a collaborative, dynamic engineering environment with opportunities for continued professional growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is required.

  • 4-10 years of structural engineering experience.

  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.

  • Strong desire to work in a collaborative team environment.

  • Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

  • Willingness to work on-site in Scottsdale, AZ.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.

  • Structural Engineering (SE) license.

  • Experience designing commercial and industrial buildings.

  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as:

    • RISA

    • RAM

    • ENERCALC

    • Similar structural analysis tools

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.

  • Strong interest in continued learning and professional development.

  • Friendly, collaborative personality with a desire to grow within the organization.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position in Scottsdale, AZ with an opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of structural engineering projects alongside experienced professionals.

The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work directly with senior engineers and clients, mentor junior team members, and broaden your experience across multiple building types and structural systems.
