Job Description
The Department of Pediatrics at Northwell Health seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to join our program. This full-time opportunity will involve working at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, NY. Specialists in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) work together to provide a positive, family-centered care experience.
\nAbout The Program
\nThe Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Lenox Hill Hospital is a 28-bed, Level III NICU dedicated to providing advanced, multidisciplinary care for critically ill and premature newborns. Our unit combines cutting-edge neonatal medicine with an exceptional commitment to family-centered care, creating an environment where both patients and providers thrive.
\nOur NICU offers a broad range of state-of-the-art therapies and technologies, including:

Therapeutic hypothermia for neonatal encephalopathy

Inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)

High-frequency ventilation (HFOV and HFJV)

Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS)

Video laryngoscopy and LISA (Less Invasive Surfactant Administration)

Bubble CPAP and advanced noninvasive respiratory support

We are supported by a highly skilled team of neonatologists, neonatal nurses, physician assistants, and neonatal nurse practitioners who provide expert, around-the-clock care. Physicians work alongside a Magnet-designated nursing team and eight advanced practice clinicians (PAs and NNPs) in a collaborative, supportive environment focused on clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
\nOur comprehensive support network includes pediatric subspecialists, pediatric surgeons, developmental specialists, social workers, child life specialists, dedicated NICU pharmacists, nutritionists, occupational therapists, and lactation consultants. We also maintain a robust NICU Follow-Up Program, ensuring continuity of care and developmental support long after discharge.
\nOur team is further supported through our close partnership with the Level IV NICU at Cohen Children's Medical Center, providing access to advanced subspecialty expertise and a broader regional network of neonatal care.

\nExperience and Qualifications:
\n1. MD or DO degree
\n2. Licensed in New York State
\n3. Graduate of an Accredited Neonatal Fellowship program
\n4. BC/BE American Board of Pediatrics in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
