Job Description
A 13-week travel opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist seeking to gain valuable Indian Health Service (IHS) experience in a unique, culturally rich environment. This position provides pharmacy and medication management services at a main healthcare campus and satellite clinics, serving diverse patient populations including neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients. The role offers exposure to a wide range of clinical pharmacy services and career advancement through tiered levels up to Advanced Practice Pharmacist.
Location: Irving, TX (Travel Assignment)
Schedule:
- 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
- Work week: Wednesday through Tuesday
- Hours Mon-Fri: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Hours Sat-Sun: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Qualifications and Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution
- Current valid, unrestricted pharmacist license from any U.S. state or territory (no Arizona license required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Pharmacist
- Minimum 1 year clinical pharmacist experience preferred
- Willingness to work rotational shifts including day, evening, night, weekends, and holidays
- Fingerprinting clearance prior to start
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive pharmacy services aligned with organizational policies
- Provide direct patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Support pharmacy operations, including supervising pharmacy staff and assisting with clinical program development
- Manage and improve clinical pharmacy services and contribute to policy administration
Housing:
- Local housing available on the reservation for approximately $600/month (if available)
- Commuting option: 1-hour drive to nearby city for additional accommodations
