\nBon Secours is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Wound Care Physician with Medical Director responsibilities to join our growing wound care program serving the Richmond market, including Petersburg and surrounding communities. This position combines hands-on patient care with clinical leadership and program oversight across multiple wound care facilities within the Bon Secours Richmond market.

- Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds including diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, venous ulcers, arterial ulcers, and surgical wounds \n
- Perform wound debridement and bedside procedures as appropriate \n
- Develop individualized, evidence-based wound care treatment plans \n
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, therapists, nursing staff, and home health agencies \n
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly \n
- Document patient encounters, billing, and follow-up care in EPIC \n

- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the wound care program \n
- Establish and maintain clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives \n
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards \n
- Participate in strategic planning and operational development \n
- Review clinical outcomes and implement initiatives to improve healing rates and patient satisfaction \n
- Mentor and support clinical staff on wound care best practices \n
- Participate in peer review, credentialing, and medical staff activities \n
This opportunity is primarily based at Southside Regional Medical Center, a 300-bed facility located on a 50-acre campus in historic Petersburg, Virginia, just 30 minutes south of Richmond. SRMC includes nearly 400 physicians across more than 40 specialties and serves a rapidly growing community with strong healthcare support and referral relationships throughout the region.
