PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Ayden, North Carolina

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Skilled Registered Nurses are needed for a contract role specializing in stepdown care. Schedule:

• 36 hours per week

Your experience and qualifications should include:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Demonstrated experience in a stepdown or progressive care environment required
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proven ability to manage complex patient care and monitor vital signs closely
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital protocols
• Excellent communication and bedside manner
• BLS and ACLS certifications (active and up to date)

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care to individuals recovering from critical illness or surgery
• Monitor, assess, and document changes in patient conditions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive treatment
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions accurately and safely
• Educate patients and their families about care plans and post-discharge instructions
• Comply with all healthcare regulations and safety standards
