Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a night shift pharmacist in a specialized pediatric hospital setting. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic healthcare team dedicated to children's health, utilizing advanced systems such as EPIC and Pyxis. Duration: 6 months
Schedule:
- Night shift: 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Work 7 days on, 7 days off
- Potential transition to day shift later in the assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense and review medications for pediatric inpatients ensuring accuracy and safety
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems effectively
- Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy plans
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and pharmacy regulations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Texas pharmacist license
- Experience working in inpatient hospital pharmacy environments
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis systems
- Pediatric pharmacy experience preferred to meet the specialized needs of the facility
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
