This is a great opportunity for an experienced pharmacist who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is specifically looking for a contract assignment. The team is focused on finding the right fit and is prioritizing pharmacists with strong high-volume experience and a positive attitude.

Position Details

• Start: ASAP
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Day/Evening Shift: 10:30 AM–7:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 1:30 PM–8:30 PM
• No on-call
• Setting: Mail-order renal specialty pharmacy
• Approximately 1,000 prescriptions processed daily
• Pharmacy Software: WellSky
• No automation

Responsibilities

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Complete final verification of prescriptions
• Verify the correct medication has been placed in the appropriate bottle or package
• Confirm directions and prescription information against the original prescription
• Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance before fulfillment
• Work efficiently within a high-volume mail-order pharmacy environment

Requirements

• Active Tennessee Pharmacist License required
• 2-3+ years of high-volume pharmacy experience required
• Mail-order, specialty, retail, or other high-volume pharmacy experience considered
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
• Ability to maintain productivity and accuracy in a high-volume environment
