Qualifications/Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience teaching K-4 preferred
  • Orton-Gillingham training or demonstrated knowledge of structured literacy approaches highly desirable
  • Familiarity with both push-in and pull-out models of instruction
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of 10 students in grades K-4
  • Support students within general education classrooms using a mix of push-in and pull-out strategies
  • Use Orton-Gillingham methods to provide literacy intervention services
  • Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and track student data
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate closely with general education staff, support personnel, and families
