Job Description
This opportunity is for an outpatient infusion pharmacist specializing in oncology and ambulatory care. The role involves order review, verification, preparation, and safe dispensing of hazardous and non-hazardous medications for oncology and infusion patients. The position requires practicing within an ambulatory infusion setting and utilizing EMR systems for documentation and order management.
Schedule & Location:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Based in Aurora, CO
- Contract length: 13 weeks, starting August 31
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders with a focus on oncology and infusion therapies
- Prepare and dispense hazardous and non-hazardous medications in accordance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe and effective medication use
- Utilize EPIC EMR for order entry, documentation, and communication
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy and healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience in a hospital outpatient or ambulatory infusion setting
- Active Colorado pharmacist license required
- Experience with oncology and hazardous medication preparation strongly preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
- No first-time travelers; prior travel or contract pharmacy experience preferred
