A retail pharmacy position is available for a licensed pharmacist in Altoona, PA. This direct hire opportunity offers a variable schedule working day and afternoon shifts with bi-weekly hours totaling 74. The role focuses on managing and growing pharmacy operations within a retail setting while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster a collaborative partnership with the store operations team to promote associate engagement and communicate company strategies.
• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance in line with state and federal regulations.
• Drive business growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) when available.
• Manage inventory by monitoring weekly sales and ordering stock to meet customer demand and maximize profitability.
• Align departmental performance objectives with measurable metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing medical queries and offering healthcare counseling.
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff; oversee training, coaching, discipline, and overall management.
• Maintain pharmacy security and resolve customer issues to build trust and loyalty.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians, utilizing reference materials to resolve prescription-related concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and promote continuous staff development to improve performance and control labor costs.
• Prioritize departmental tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls to ensure timely completion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
