This role involves supporting a dynamic school district with a district-wide need, providing Occupational Therapy services across multiple sites. Requirements:

  • Valid Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Demonstrated experience in school settings, ideally with previous multi-site support
  • Proficient in providing individualized therapy for diverse student populations
  • Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads across multiple school locations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Adaptability to travel between sites within the district as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive OT evaluations and direct therapy services as outlined in student IEPs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy techniques into the classroom environment
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation for all interventions and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
  • Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and modifications within the school setting
  • Travel between multiple district schools to meet student needs across locations
