Job Opportunity: Faculty Position in Ob/GYN

Our organization is currently looking for a full-time faculty member to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our academic medical center associated with a prominent university. We are a leading safety-net academic hospital in the region, dedicated to providing high-quality medical care.

The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible Ob/Gyn physician who excels in delivering comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services, both in clinical and hospital settings. The successful applicant will collaborate with a team of specialists, including experts in female pelvic medicine, reconstructive surgery, and maternal-fetal medicine. There are also opportunities for involvement in medical education for students and residents, as well as performing in-office procedures and utilizing da Vinci robotic surgery technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patients in our newly updated, state-of-the-art Labor & Delivery unit.
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient OB/GYN care in our modern clinics.
  • Engage in a busy GYN Operating Room, including opportunities for da Vinci robotic surgeries.
  • Care for antepartum and postpartum patients.
  • Offer coverage for GYN inpatients, including performing a full range of surgical procedures and emergency care for gynecologic patients presenting through the emergency department.
  • Provide private patient care within our health system.
  • Act as a clinical resource for Labor & Delivery staff, including routine patient assessments and triage.
  • Supervise and mentor residents from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and rotating medical students.

Compensation and academic appointment will be aligned with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Our department, primarily based in Kansas City, Missouri, boasts a busy residency program with 32 residents, a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship, and numerous opportunities for research and academic growth.
