This role offers a unique opportunity for experienced pharmacists seeking to expand their practice within a diverse clinical setting. Located in a culturally rich region of northwestern Arizona, the position serves a large geographical area including main and satellite clinics. It is ideal for licensed pharmacists from any state who are interested in gaining valuable experience within Indian Health Service (IHS) environments and are comfortable with rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Schedule:

  • 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
  • Work week: Wednesday through Tuesday
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services to patients across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric populations
  • Deliver direct patient care consistent with established policies and procedures
  • Advance clinical pharmacy services at inpatient and outpatient departments, including specialized clinics
  • Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, assistants, and billing personnel
  • Develop and administer pharmacy policies aligned with organizational mission and values

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-recognized institution
  • Current, unrestricted pharmacist license from any U.S. state or territory
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a registered pharmacist
  • Minimum one year of clinical pharmacist experience
  • Successful fingerprint clearance prior to start
