Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a K-12 setting
- Familiarity with homebound or one-on-one educational and therapeutic services is highly desirable
- Ability to design and adapt intervention plans for individual learning and developmental needs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related service providers
- Strong organizational skills and a compassionate approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to a 6th-grade homebound student in accordance with the individualized education plan (IEP)
- Assess, evaluate, and document student progress and therapy outcomes
- Design creative, engaging activities and modifications to foster independence and participation in daily routines
- Consult regularly with family and school staff to ensure consistency of care and support a collaborative approach
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
