Job Description
A part-time contract opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist interested in supporting students in a school-based setting near Oakland, CA. This position will begin on August 17th, 2026, and run through June 11th, 2027. You will be working one day per week within the district, with the specific school location to be determined.
Ideal candidates possess strong pediatric and school-based OT experience, bringing expertise and compassion to help students reach their full potential. The caseload details will be shared as they become available.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license for California
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably working with pediatric populations
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to diverse student needs
- Reliable and detail-oriented work ethic
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct OT evaluations and collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
- Maintain clear documentation, including progress notes and required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, working closely with educators and family members
- Support school staff with strategies to promote student success
- Adapt and modify activities or equipment to increase student participation
