ELA Teacher in Wetumpka, AL

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification with an English endorsement (verify certification through the Alabama Department of Education website)
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in English, Education, or a related field
• Experience teaching General Education English Language Arts at the secondary level a plus
• Proficient in integrating technology into classroom instruction
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth
• Establish a strong rapport with diverse students, fostering motivation and respect
• Encourage student development of 21st-century literacy skills through the creative use of technology
• Work collaboratively with parents, co-workers, and school visitors to support student success
• Maintain classroom management and implement instructional plans as directed by school leadership
• Take on other responsibilities as assigned by the principal
