Full-Time Positions Open

The Registered Nurse will deliver direct patient care under the guidance of the AVP of Nursing, Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, or their designee.

Shift/Hours: Full-Time (32 or 40 hours) – Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM with rotating weekends.

Compensation: $39.90 - $58.80 per hour based on experience.

• Take full responsibility for the quality of nursing care provided to patients, ensuring optimal health, education, counseling, collaborative planning, and restoration of function.
• Integrate knowledge of patient rights and our mission, vision, and values into nursing practice.
• Serve as a patient advocate, helping them develop self-advocacy skills.
• Document all relevant patient information promptly.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, considering biopsychosocial and medical histories, as well as age, mental, social, and physical status.
• Perform ongoing assessments of patients’ conditions and respond appropriately.
• Communicate any special nutritional needs to the registered dietitian.
• Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities to the physician.
• Create patient-specific crisis plans to enhance safety and minimize the need for external intervention.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to develop patients’ master treatment plans.
• Adhere to the policies, philosophy, and objectives of the Nursing Department and the facility.
• Deliver nursing care effectively, demonstrating sound clinical judgment and professional competency.
• Participate in community meetings and group therapies as assigned.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Conduct patient rounds in a timely manner and accurately document observations.
• Provide ongoing education to patients and families tailored to individual needs.
• Accurately transcribe medication and treatment orders, maintaining the medication administration record (MAR).
• Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments using appropriate methods.
• Evaluate and document patient responses to medication regimens and identify needs for PRN medications.
• Assume the role of charge nurse as assigned.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of relevant psychiatric experience.

Licensure/Certification:

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
• CPR certification required prior to employment.

Knowledge:

• Understanding of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships, age-specific growth and development, limit setting, and crisis management.

• Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
• Capability to multitask in a dynamic mental health environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical agility to manage patients in crisis, including the ability to push, pull, and lift between 10 to 75 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping required.
