Job Description
The University of Virginia Health System (UVA Health) is seeking a fellowship-trained Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiologist to join our Community Division. This position offers the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of musculoskeletal imaging in a collegial, supportive environment serving Prince William Hospital, Haymarket Medical Center, Culpeper Hospital, Culpeper Outpatient Imaging Center and Gainesville Outpatient Imaging Center. The role combines the advantages of a dynamic community-based practice with the academic connection and resources of a nationally recognized university health system.
\nThe successful candidate will devote approximately 9095% effort to clinical service and 510% to administrative and service activities, with flexibility to adapt as the division evolves.
\nClinical Responsibilities

- Interpret a comprehensive range of musculoskeletal imaging studies, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and radiography of the extremities, joints, spine, and pelvis. \n
- Perform and interpret image-guided musculoskeletal procedures, such as joint injections, aspirations, and biopsies, as appropriate. \n
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences (e.g., orthopedic oncology, sports medicine, rheumatology) and provide consultative expertise for referring physicians and technical staff. \n
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists, rheumatologists, oncologists, and primary care providers to ensure the highest-value use of imaging studies. \n
- Share in the divisions clinical schedule and call responsibilities, with occasional coverage at the Culpeper Outpatient Imaging Center. \n
Service & Administrative Responsibilities

- Contribute to divisional quality improvement, workflow optimization, and patient safety initiatives. \n
- Participate in peer review, protocol development, and marketing/recruitment efforts. \n
- Work collaboratively with technologists, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure high-quality imaging protocols and timely service. \n
- Support a culture of collegiality, inclusivity, and respect across the Division and UVA Health. \n
- Help advance the professional reputation of UVA Radiology in the communities we serve. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- M.D. or D.O. degree; board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology. \n
- Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology. \n
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia. \n

The base compensation range for this role is $503,453 - $602,506 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status. Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate's qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs, such as productivity, quality, non-productivity, or other incentives that may be available for eligible positions.
