\nThe mission of The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine is to provide the Southern New England region with access to expertise in advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine therapies.
\n \nWound Care Advanced Practitioner Role Scope
\nComprehensive diagnosis and wound assessment of patients
\nOrdering appropriate lab tests, imaging studies, radiographic and other cardiac imaging studies, interpret lab, imaging studies, maintain currency in advanced cardiac life support
\nManagement of Hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments
\nCoordinate care of assigned patients including nursing care, nutrition, medications, dressings and adjunctive wound therapies
\nReview patient charts, write progress notes, tabulate data, and complete other required medical record documentation

Advanced Practitioner Requirements
\nGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Masters program. Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
\nCertification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant, orNational Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner through a national board certification.
\nWound care certification or experience preferred ; Training in Hyperbaric Therapy will be provided
