\nNurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant Inpatient, Outpatient, OR Neurosurgery, Indian River
\nCleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our outstanding neurosurgical team. This position involves Pediatric through Geriatric populations with neurosurgical needs across the spectrum from emergency room to ICU, stepdown and floor.
\nDuties/procedures involved include standard hospitalist duties (admissions, history and physicals, discharges, consults, triage and emergencies) and procedures include (but not limited to) lumbar punctures, sutures, staples, and shunt adjustments.
\nSchedule: Monday Friday 8-5pm Rotating Call/Holidays
\nWe are looking for someone with interest/background seeing neuro patients in clinic, hospital, and OR first assist.
\nNationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs.
\nEducation:
\nAPRN
\nEffective 05/01/2014: MSN required upon hire or within 3 years of hire for external hires and internal hires moving from a non-APRN licensed role to an APRN licensed role.
\n Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
\n If in neonatal care service area Masters Degree is required upon hire.
PA
\nGraduate of an A.R.C. approved Physician Assistant Program.
\n Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies and/or higher degree obtained from a program recognized by their practicing states Licensing Board.
