Position: Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech)Primary ResponsibilitiesThe CT Technologist utilizes their expertise in diagnostic imaging to safely and effectively operate CT scanning equipment, ensuring compassionate and timely patient care. This role is crucial in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of patients by generating diagnostic CT scans.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the quality of all images and verify that all relevant patient and procedural information is accurate.
- Conduct computed tomography procedures.
- Perform timeouts as mandated by policy.
- Accurately position patients on CT scanning cradles and securely immobilize them using appropriate devices.
- Administer radiation exposures as per physician requests and patient history.
- Carry out intravenous injections and demonstrate knowledge of IV care, administering oral, rectal, and IV contrast agents as needed.
- Assist the radiologist with procedures such as biopsies and drainage, employing sterile techniques and ensuring safe use of contrast and radiation materials.
- Maintain proficiency in all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Licensing and Certification Requirements- BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must be obtained from an approved source before direct patient care) (required)
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
- Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred, or must be obtained within one year)
- State Licensure (preferred, unless mandated by state regulations)
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institution (preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT or Radiologic Technologist (preferred)
- Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
- Familiarity with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) (preferred)
Salary Range: $33.31 - $51.63
