Mental Health Technician/Recovery Coach
Location: Northport, NY
Our organization is a residential treatment facility dedicated to adolescents seeking help for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction.
We are committed to guiding adolescents and their families towards complete recovery, equipping each young person with the tools to face life's challenges without the burden of an eating disorder. Our approach emphasizes empathy, education, and family involvement, ensuring that each adolescent learns to replace harmful behaviors with healthy skills and a profound understanding of their unique identity.
We are currently looking for a part-time Mental Health Technician/Recovery Coach to become a vital part of our team.
Compensation: $17-$22 per hour
Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays from 7:15 AM to 7:15 PM

Responsibilities- Actively support clients throughout their recovery journey.
- Provide assistance and interventions aligned with each client’s treatment plan.
- Encourage clients to build healthy relationships with peers and staff.
- Assist with food preparation and supervision during meals and snacks.
- Participate in therapeutic groups and help develop essential skills for clinical growth.
- Conduct rounds and provide necessary observations.
- Occasionally transport clients for off-site appointments and activities.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education; a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health environment is highly preferred (and may be required in certain states).
- A valid state-issued Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a service-oriented mindset; adaptability; and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
