This contract opportunity runs from August 19, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and is based near Mc Veytown, PA. You’ll play a vital role in creating an environment where students with hearing challenges thrive academically and personally.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certification (PK–12)
  • Previous experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Demonstrated familiarity with hearing technologies, including FM/DM systems, AAC devices, and cochlear implants
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students in accordance with each Individualized Education Program (IEP)
  • Develop, implement, and routinely assess IEP goals tailored to the unique needs of each student
  • Work in close partnership with general education teachers, families, and related service personnel to support student progress
  • Provide guidance and training on the use of hearing technologies to students and staff
  • Advocate for students’ access, inclusion, and success within the school environment
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
