Job Description
Step into a fulfilling role supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in an educational setting! Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- SLPA licensure or eligibility in Alabama
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for helping children of varying backgrounds and abilities
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist with screenings, assessments, and therapy sessions
- Prepare materials and adapt activities for students
- Track and document student progress and attendance
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to reinforce communication strategies
- Participate in professional development and stay informed on best practices
