As an SLPA, you will carry out evidence-based treatment plans, conduct individual and group therapy sessions, and gather crucial data to monitor student progress. Your contributions will help children overcome speech and language barriers so they can thrive in the classroom. The position is located near Keller, TX, within a collaborative, student-focused educational community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized speech and language therapy under SLP supervision
- Deliver therapy sessions to both individual students and small groups
- Accurately document student progress and maintain comprehensive therapy notes
- Assist with screenings for speech, language, and hearing issues as directed
- Prepare materials and support classroom activities that reinforce therapy goals
- Maintain meticulous records in alignment with all regulations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff
- Support the implementation of IEP goals and carryover strategies
- Demonstrate adherence to professional and ethical standards at all times
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Texas SLPA license (TDLR)
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
- Completion of required clinical practicum as per Texas guidelines
- Ability to take direction and collaborate effectively with supervising SLP
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in school settings is a plus, but not mandatory
