Step into a rewarding opportunity serving K–12 students near Lowell, MA as a dedicated physical therapist for the full 2026–2027 school year. This contract position offers a full-time schedule, totaling 35 hours each week, for professionals passionate about making a measurable difference in school-based settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Current physical therapy license in Massachusetts required
- Experience or interest in working with school-aged children from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Previous experience with both direct testing and itinerant physical therapy services is helpful
- Bilingual ability in Spanish is strongly preferred, supporting effective communication within a diverse school community
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple school environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to a K–12 caseload in both testing and itinerant roles (approximately a 50/50 split)
- Assess students' motor skills and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate service documentation and contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Travel between school sites as needed within the district to deliver services in a timely and efficient manner
- Participate actively in team meetings and work collaboratively with faculty, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
