Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid special education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary-age students, ideally in a resource or inclusive classroom setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Compassionate communication style and patient demeanor
- Proven ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet varied learner needs
- Team player mindset with excellent collaboration skills
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and support to students with special needs in grades 3-5
- Develop, review, and maintain individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and share updates with families and school teams
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators to ensure consistency and support for each student
- Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation of student development and goals
