School-Based Physical Therapist - Lehigh Acres, Florida

Step into an impactful role serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade as an itinerant Physical Therapist. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity covers multiple school sites across a diverse district near Lehigh Acres, FL, allowing you to make a difference for children and teens with a variety of needs. The assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering up to 37.5 hours per week during the academic year.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
• Current and valid Florida Department of Health Physical Therapist license
• Previous experience working in educational settings with children and adolescents, highly preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to coordinate care between multiple school locations
• Fingerprinting clearance required (via AHCA Clearinghouse if previously completed for FL schools), plus eligibility for a JLA badge

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students, adapting treatment plans to meet individual goals as outlined in IEPs
• Travel between multiple schools over the week, providing services to a range of ages and grade levels
• Conduct evaluations, develop and monitor therapy goals, and document ongoing progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, parents, and other therapists, for best student outcomes
• Educate staff and families on strategies and accommodations to support student mobility and participation
