Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school psychologist in an engaging elementary school environment. This full-time, onsite position spans from late September through mid-November 2026 and provides the unique chance to make a difference with a caseload of around 40 students. Qualifications & Experience:
- Current ‘Professional Special Services License’ through the Colorado Department of Education, or in the process of obtaining (for traveling professionals)
- Proven ability to effectively communicate credentials, interview skills, and relevant school-based experience during recruitment stages
- Demonstrated experience working as a school psychologist, with knowledge of psychological assessment, counseling, and intervention strategies suited for an elementary school setting
- Adaptability to new environments and willingness to discuss travel logistics, housing, and accommodations (for non-local applicants)
- Positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to engage colleagues, students, and families
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to guide educational planning
- Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and consultative services onsite, collaborating actively with teachers, staff, and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary student support teams and IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
- Maintain detailed records and consistent communication with school staff and parents
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that emphasizes students’ social-emotional growth and academic success
