Salary Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

Our organization is in search of a committed Registered Nurse to join our Level 1 Trauma Center's Main Operating Room located on the New Brunswick campus.

Position Overview:

The Operating Room Nurse will deliver exceptional patient care within the surgical environment, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. This position demands a meticulous and proactive individual who excels in a dynamic setting and is focused on enhancing surgical outcomes for patients.

Qualifications:Required:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
  • At least one year of experience as an OR RN or a recent graduate of a perioperative 101 program
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Strong computer proficiency
Preferred:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion within five years of hire
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
Scheduling Requirements:
  • Night shift, 40 hours per week, from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Availability for weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as needed
  • Full-time position
Key Responsibilities:
  • The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care within the healthcare system, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, while upholding ethical practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
  • Ensuring safety in practice, the Registered Nurse will incorporate evidence-based principles and maintain awareness of their own knowledge and experience, taking responsibility for personal and team development through effective communication and resource utilization.
  • Identifying and reporting safety concerns, such as hazardous conditions and medical errors, is a critical responsibility.
  • The Registered Nurse must possess knowledge of the patient demographics served.
  • Supervising and directing task delegation to appropriate team members while collaborating with other healthcare providers is essential.
  • Setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes is a key function.
  • As an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, the Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
