Per Diem Retail Pharmacist in Elmo, UT

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed pharmacist with retail experience to contribute to a busy pharmacy environment in Elmo, UT. Focused on supporting daily operations, this per diem role requires coverage on specified days in August, with the chance to work alongside a dedicated team of pharmacy professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in a retail setting
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and staff to ensure smooth workflow
• Counsel patients on the proper use of their medications and answer any related inquiries
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies
• Utilize Pioneer RX system for reviewing and verifying prescriptions, with technicians assisting in order entry

Schedule:

• Days needed: August 21 and August 22
• Weekday shifts: 9am to 7pm
• Saturday shift: 9am to 1pm
• Work alongside 1.5 pharmacists and 3 pharmacy technicians
• Manage prescription volume ranging from 75 to 100 per day

Qualifications:

• Active Utah pharmacy license is required
• Proven experience in retail pharmacy settings
• Experience with Pioneer RX is a plus but not mandatory, as technicians handle order entry
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to effectively counsel patients
