Exciting opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students! This contract position is available for a maternity leave cover at a welcoming elementary school, perfect for professionals seeking to make an immediate positive impact. The role is full-time, working 37.5 hours each week, with a primary focus on serving students aged 5 to 11. Position begins as soon as possible and continues through approximately October 2nd, 2026.
Your background in speech therapy and commitment to student growth will be valued in a collaborative school environment. Utilize your skills to assess, diagnose, and provide interventions that support communication and language development in young learners.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- Current GaPSC SLP Educator Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience supporting elementary-aged students in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to students with a range of speech and language needs
- Complete assessments, develop IEP goals, and document student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team collaborations
- Provide consultative support and interventions within the classroom setting
- Advocate for students’ communication needs
