Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Conducting patient evaluations and assessments
• Administering general respiratory care procedures and protocols
• Performing critical care procedures in adult care settings
• Executing blood gas analyses
• Overseeing the maintenance and management of all respiratory equipment
• Providing education to patients regarding their care

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
An Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Prior experience in respiratory care or successful completion of a department-specific orientation, including validation of skills and competencies for this role.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State of Georgia through the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Must actively practice and maintain all necessary competencies.
