Job Description
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A certified pharmacy technician opportunity is available supporting sterile compounding operations in a dynamic pharmacy serving infusion and specialty patients. This contract-to-hire role offers stability and the chance to grow within the team, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile compounded medications under licensed pharmacist supervision following USP <797> and <800> standards.
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and cleanroom protocols.
- Accurately perform pharmacy calculations and compound medications.
- Assist with labeling, packaging, and shipment of infusion therapies.
- Maintain compounding logs, batch records, and quality documentation.
- Monitor inventory, support ordering processes, and manage product rotation.
- Maintain cleanroom equipment and participate in environmental monitoring.
- Support medication order processing and prescription fulfillment activities.
- Ensure compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA, OSHA, and internal policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement, and ongoing training.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred.
- Minimum of one year sterile compounding experience in hospital, oncology, home infusion, or similar settings.
- In-depth knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> standards.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sterile environment.
- Proficient with pharmacy management systems and strong communication skills.
