A travel opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist interested in gaining valuable experience within a unique healthcare setting serving Native American communities. This role offers exposure to comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services, covering a diverse patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adult, oncology, and obstetric patients.

Location:

  • This position is based in a culturally rich area of Northwestern Arizona, serving a broad region that includes Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities.
  • Housing options include local reservation-based accommodations; limited housing at $600/month may be available for those willing to commute approximately one hour to nearby Flagstaff.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Rotation: 7 days on, 7 days off
  • Work week: Wednesday through Tuesday
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Deliver direct patient care across a broad spectrum of clinical areas.
  • Participate in rotational shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Potential to advance to Advanced Practice Pharmacist roles, managing specialized clinics and pharmacy operations.
  • Provide technical and administrative supervision to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, assistants, and billing staff.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, unrestricted pharmacy license from any U.S. state or territory; Arizona license not required.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
  • At least one year of clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Fingerprinting clearance required prior to start.
