Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students near Jaffrey, NH, as an Elementary School Adjustment Counselor. This position spans multiple elementary schools, collaborating closely with educational teams across Franklin, Wheelock, Symonds, and Fuller. Through a blend of responsive and rehabilitative services, you’ll empower children and families, helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

In this full-time role (35 hours per week) from August 26, 2026, to June 15, 2027, your efforts will ensure every child is able to access their curriculum and participate fully in school life.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
  • Previous experience as a School Social Worker, School Psychologist, School Counselor, or Mental Health clinician with substantial school-based counseling experience
  • Eligible for, or holding, New Hampshire certification as a School Counselor (NH 0040), School Psychologist (NH 0046), Associate School Psychologist (NH 0047), or School Social Worker (NH 0049)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group counseling and intervention services to elementary students
  • Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student well-being
  • Facilitate communication among educational teams at four elementary schools, dividing your focus according to identified needs (Franklin 20%, Wheelock 20%, Symonds 30%, Fuller 30%)
  • Aid in developing and implementing strategies that address behavioral, emotional, and academic needs
  • Engage in crisis intervention and advocate for students’ access to educational services
