Qualifications:

• Current Louisiana Teaching License/Certification with required endorsements
• Experience working as a general education classroom or music teacher (elementary preferred)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for working with elementary-aged students and encouraging musical exploration
• Ability to develop and lead engaging band instruction suitable for a range of skill levels
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach and lead elementary band classes onsite during the school year
• Plan engaging lessons and select appropriate music literature for a variety of abilities
• Organize and direct school band performances and special events
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school administrators
