Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic, preschool through 8th grade setting. This assignment begins August 12, 2026, and continues through approximately February 12, 2027, offering up to 37.5 hours per week across a standard Monday–Friday schedule. Located within easy reach of San Mateo, CA, you’ll work alongside passionate educators in a supportive environment, empowering young learners to reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid California OT or COTA licensure required
  • Recent or relevant experience in school-based occupational therapy
  • Comfortable working with students ages 3 to 14 (preschool through grade 8)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to implement IEPs and provide direct or consultative services

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional needs
  • Develop and carry out effective treatment plans to support students in the classroom
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, parents, special education staff, and administration
  • Document progress, complete required reports, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment
  • Adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs within various educational programs
