Travel Pharmacist - Albuquerque, New Mexico

This travel pharmacist opportunity in Albuquerque, NM offers a 13-week assignment providing comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services. The position supports a main campus and multiple satellite clinics, delivering care to diverse patient populations including neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients.

Work schedule follows a 7 on/7 off rotation, with shifts Wednesday through Tuesday. Daily hours run from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday to Friday, and 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekends. No Arizona license is required; pharmacists licensed in any U.S. state may apply. This role is ideal for experienced pharmacists seeking to gain Indian Health Service (IHS) experience while traveling.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing direct clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Assisting with medication management and patient education
• Participating in rotational shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Potential for advancement from Pharmacist to Advanced Practice Pharmacist levels
• Overseeing pharmacy policies, procedures, and operations as a Clinic Manager, when applicable
• Supervising pharmacy staff including technicians and assistants

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
• Current, unrestricted pharmacy license from any U.S. state or territory
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Pharmacist
• At least 1 year of clinical pharmacy experience
• Successful completion of fingerprinting clearance prior to start
