Opportunity Overview:
- Become part of a cardiology team consisting of 2 interventional cardiologists, 1 non-invasive cardiologist, 2 electrophysiologists, and 1 heart failure expert.
- This established clinic boasts a robust patient base.
- The practice is supported by 4 physician assistants and 2 nurse practitioners.
- Located just 1.5 miles from the UPMC Altoona hospital.
- Additional clinic hours will be available at the nearby UPMC Bedford hospital.
- The Altoona clinic features a comprehensive pacemaker program.
- Enjoy a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
- The on-call rotation is 1:5.
- Candidates must be board certified or board eligible if they are recent graduates.
About the Cardiology Department:
The team in Altoona includes vascular and cardiothoracic surgeons affiliated with UPMC's Heart & Vascular Institute.
The hospital's catheterization lab has served over 3,000 patients and introduced TAVR and Watchman procedures in 2019.
