Warehouse Pharmacist

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Looking for an experienced pharmacist interested in a 13-week warehouse pharmacy contract with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule. This role focuses on medication inventory, verification, distribution, and supporting pharmacy operations in a high-volume environment.

Position Details

• Contract: 13+ weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 10:30 AM–7:00 PM
• Pay: $62/hour

Responsibilities

• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty medications
• Manage inventory levels, medication ordering, and supplies while minimizing waste and expired products
• Ensure proper medication storage and compliance with USP standards and applicable regulations
• Verify medication orders before preparation or shipment
• Supervise pharmacy technicians involved in inventory, picking, packing, and shipping
• Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to ensure medications and supplies are available for patient orders
• Review controlled substance inventory and maintain required documentation
• Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits
• Coordinate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to ensure timely medication delivery
• Use pharmacy software and inventory management systems to track medications and supplies

Requirements

• Clear and active Illinois Pharmacist License required
• Pharmacist experience in a pharmacy setting
• Some IV medication knowledge required
• Comfortable working in a warehouse/high-volume pharmacy environment
• Strong attention to detail and medication inventory accuracy
