Job Description
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Pharmacist with a desire to travel and gain valuable experience in Indian Health Service (IHS) settings awaits in Arizona. This 13-week travel assignment offers immersive clinical practice in a unique, culturally rich environment serving Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities.
Location:
Mesa, AZ (with primary work at main campus and satellite clinics within the IHS network; local housing available on the reservation, or option to commute approximately one hour from Flagstaff)
Schedule:
- 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
- Work week: Wednesday through Tuesday
- Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide direct patient care for diverse populations including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients
- Work rotating shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Support pharmacy operations in accordance with organizational policies

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- Valid, unrestricted pharmacist license from any U.S. state, territory, or DC (Arizona license not required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum two years as a registered pharmacist and at least one year in clinical pharmacy practice
- Fingerprinting clearance prior to start date
