About the Role\n

We’re representing an established and growing accountancy practice based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Client Manager to join a supportive and forward-thinking team.

\n

The role would suit an ACA/ACCA qualified professional or someone qualified by experience who has a strong background within accountancy practice. You’ll take ownership of an established portfolio of clients, providing a high-quality, proactive service across accounts, taxation and wider practice services.

\n

With structured growth and development plans in place, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career while working closely with Directors and an experienced wider team.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Manage your own portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • \n
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • \n
  • Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • \n
  • Prepare personal and corporation tax returns, including basic tax planning
  • \n
  • Review accounts prepared by trainees and provide constructive feedback and mentoring
  • \n
  • Work closely with Directors and the wider team to deliver a proactive client service
  • \n
  • Coordinate the delivery of a full range of accountancy services to clients
  • \n
  • Identify opportunities to introduce additional services to existing clients
  • \n
  • Manage your own workflow and prioritise work effectively
  • \n
  • Collaborate with other managers, sharing knowledge and resources across the team
  • \n
  • Provide support and guidance to junior members of the team
  • \n
  • Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues throughout the engagement
  • \n
Ideal Candidate Profile\n
    \n
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
  • \n
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
  • \n
  • Strong experience across accounts preparation and taxation
  • \n
  • Experience managing a portfolio of varied clients
  • \n
  • Good knowledge of personal and corporation tax
  • \n
  • Confident reviewing work and supporting junior team members
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills
  • \n
  • Commercially aware with strong time management and organisational skills
  • \n
  • Proactive, personable and committed to delivering a high-quality service
