Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Location: LondonSalary: £50,000 - £60,000

An established engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their London team. This role would suit an experienced geotechnical engineer with 5+ years' experience who is working towards or close to achieving Chartered status.

The position offers the opportunity to work across a varied range of geotechnical projects, taking responsibility for technical delivery while developing your project management and client-facing experience.

• Deliver geotechnical projects from ground investigation through to design and construction.
\n
• Plan and manage ground investigations, including reviewing factual information and producing interpretative reports.
\n
• Undertake geotechnical analysis and design for a range of development and infrastructure projects.
\n
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
\n
• Carry out geotechnical assessments including slope stability, retaining structures, foundations and earthworks.
\n
• Work closely with structural, civil and environmental engineers on multidisciplinary projects.
\n
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
\n
• Assist with project management, including programmes, budgets and resources.
\n
• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers.
\n
• Contribute to business development and the development of client relationships.
\n

• 5+ years' experience in geotechnical engineering.
\n
• Working towards or close to achieving Chartered Engineer status.
\n
• Strong experience in UK ground conditions and geotechnical design.
\n
• Experience across ground investigation and interpretative reporting.
\n
• Good knowledge of relevant UK standards and design guidance.
\n
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
\n
• Commercially aware with the ability to work directly with clients.
\n
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
\n
• Full UK driving licence desirable.
\n
