Maintenance Technician - Islip
\nPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join our well-established client based in Islip on a full-time basis.

\nThis role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer or Facilities Technician.

- £36,145 per annum \n
Shift Pattern:
\nAs a Maintenance Technician, you will work:
\n- \n
- Monday to Friday \n
- 08:00 - 16:00 \n

Day-to-Day Duties:
\nYour duties as a Maintenance Technician are:
\n- \n
- Support the depot and other sites by ensuring that the site is safe and efficient, by being reactive and proactive to the tasks that need to be completed \n
- Undertake various planned preventative maintenance activities and weekly testing on a daily basis \n
- Complete sprinkler testing, racking inspections and repairs, generator testing, emergency lighting testing and caddy car servicing \n
- Complete shower/Legionella testing \n
- Undertake repairs as and when required through job requests from a number of stakeholders \n
- Prioritise system faults \n
- Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times \n
- Ensure quality of output at all times \n
- Accurately record all work undertaken \n
Essential Skills:
\nTo be successful as a Maintenance Technician, you will need:
\n- \n
- Full driving licence \n
- ONC in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent \n
- Previous experience of maintenance in a warehouse \n
- A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals and drawings \n
- Basic understanding of control systems and techniques \n
- Experience working at height \n
- Experience carrying out racking inspections and repairs \n
- PC literacy \n
- Understanding of preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules \n
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills \n
