Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Solicitor to join an established law firm based in Otley, taking over an existing caseload of high-street litigation matters.

\n

The caseload primarily consists of property and probate disputes, debt recovery and general civil litigation. The role offers genuine flexibility and would be particularly well suited to an experienced solicitor seeking a part-time position.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

• Manage an existing caseload of high-street litigation matters.

\n

• Handle a range of civil litigation, including property and probate disputes.

\n

• Deal with debt recovery matters.

\n

• Provide clear and commercially focused advice to clients.

\n

• Conduct matters from initial instruction through to resolution.

\n

• Draft correspondence, pleadings and other legal documentation.

\n

• Liaise with clients, counsel and other third parties.

\n

• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

\n

• Develop and grow the litigation department where appropriate.

\n

• For full-time candidates, take a proactive role in the leadership and future development of the department.

About You

\n

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Litigation Solicitor with experience handling a broad range of general civil litigation matters.

\n

Experience in some or all of the following would be beneficial:

\n

• Property disputes

\n

• Probate disputes

\n

• Debt recovery

\n

• General civil litigation

\n

• Managing your own caseload

\n

• Advising clients and progressing matters through to conclusion

\n
