The Data Operation team resides within the Control function of Ops &MO and is responsible for overseeing the firm’s Global Security Master through various data quality measures. The team is also responsible for managing processes to onboard new securities and attributes.We are seeking a driven and thorough Reference Data Operations Specialist to join our team. Ideally, you will be a self-starter with close attention to detail and a strong background in financial services industry - specifically in Security Master and Reference Data. If you are motivated by taking the initiative to improve processes, operating efficient BAU activities, and real time problem solving, we would love to hear from you!Principal ResponsibilitiesEnsuring accurate creation and maintenance of all tradable securities in Millennium’s Global Security MasterOversee the completion of Data Quality control checks via system and business validationsMonitor Corporate Actions and Market Data events to proactively ensure processing and avoid disruptions to downstream interfacesLiaise and resolve ad hoc issues raised from internal front, middle and back office clients as well as external data vendorsAnalyze datasets, work with Development on requirements, assist in design and implementation of new processes, and workflows to improve Security Master for firm stakeholdersManage team in EMEA and APAC plus collaborate globally with team members and leadsServe as an escalation point and be well versed in stakeholder management across Trading, Risk and Ops counterpartsQualifications/Skills Required8+ years of experience in financial services, ideally in operations at a broker-dealer or asset management firm with experience in Security Master/Reference DataExperience leading a small team and collaborating across different regions and time zonesStrong knowledge of financial instruments including equities, fixed income and derivativesExperience working with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit (S&P Global), ICE and other Data VendorsAbility to implement and maintain new systems, procedures, and controlsAnalytical skills for review and validation of datasets to identify gaps and drive new requirementsSolid understanding of basic SQL queries, proficient MS ExcelStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting senior stakeholdersMust be able to meet deadlines and work well with a team environmentSelf-directed, diligent problem solver with a desire to contribute to Millennium’s reputation and successRecruiter:Lizzie BramleyHiring Manager:Brian McCarthyDepartment:Operations & Middle Office
